Cedric Cayla
President and CEO
Cédric is a seasoned wealth management professional working with international families to meet their investment needs and objectives. For more than 15 years, Cédric has built a diverse background in the financial industry, including capital allocation, corporate development and trustee services. Originally from Montreal, Cédric spent close to a decade in Europe building 1642 Capital’s global reach and vision. When he is not spending his off-time with his family, Cédric likes to pursue his passions for French wine, independent cinema and basketball.
Mark D’Souza
Chairman of the Board
Mark is an experienced financial executive, having worked in wealth management for more than a decade and prior to that in corporate finance for more than 20 years, including several years at Quebecor in both Canada and Europe. He is a member of the boards of several companies and philanthropic organizations. He obtained his LL.B. from the University of Montreal and his MBA (Finance) from HEC. He successfully completed the Directors Education Program (DEP) from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. Mark is an avid learner and loves to travel and share his movie and music interests with his loved ones. His real passion, however, remains his family. Nothing makes him happier than the prospect of a weekend in the countryside with his children and grandchildren.
Felix Boyer
Vice President, Client Partnerships
Félix manages the complex investment needs and goals of families while integrating their long-term vision. Drawing on more than 15 years of consulting and wealth management experience, Félix leverages his deep expertise in strategic investment review, capital allocation, and private markets. He has developed this expertise working with families, foundations, pension plans, financial institutions, as well as religious congregations and First Nations communities. Félix holds the CFA charter and a B.A. & Sc. in Mathematics and Statistics from the Université de Montréal. Naturally curious and a dedicated father, Félix loves to travel, learn, and stay active in sports.
Michael Keenan
Chief Investment Officer
Michael is a seasoned investment professional with over twenty-five years of institutional funds management experience. Prior to joining 1642 Capital, Michael spent over twenty years with Bimcor Inc, which is the pension investment subsidiary for the Bell Canada group of companies, including seven years as Chief Investment Officer. He is a past Chair of the Pension Investment Association of Canada and sits as an independent advisor on several investment committees for pension and trust organizations. Michael is a CFA charter holder with a B. Arts & Science (Economics) from McMaster University and an M.A. (Economics) from Western University. Michael believes that independence, discipline, and humility are key ingredients for long-term investment success.
Guillaume Faucher
Associate Director
Guillaume has over ten years of private wealth investment management experience. Guillaume joined 1642 Capital in 2022 after four years at Archer wealth management, where he worked as the director of operations and portfolio manager. Previously, he had spent five years at Claret Asset Management, where he worked as a quantitative analyst doing backtesting, portfolio management, trading and performance measurement. Guillaume is a CFA charter holder with a Master’s Degree in Finance from Sherbrooke University. He believes that discipline is key to achieve any long-term investment goal. He likes to take the same approach when he is skiing, playing tennis and trail running.
Philip Marceau
Senior Investment Analyst
Philip joined 1642 Capital in 2026 as part of the Investment Team, where he supports with activities related to portfolio construction, investment manager selection and monitoring, and portfolio operations. Prior to joining 1642 Capital, Philip spent nearly five years at Fiera Capital, holding various roles within the Public Markets CIO Office, the Total Portfolio Solutions Team, and the Global Distribution Team. Philip is a CFA charter holder and holds a Master’s degree in Finance from HEC Montréal, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration from Bishop’s University. Analytical by nature, Philip enjoys traveling, experimenting with new recipes, and spending quality time with his family.
Samuel Rousseau
Investment Analyst
Holder of a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in finance from the Université de Sherbrooke, Samuel Rousseau has a strong interest in portfolio construction and strategic financial analysis. He joined the team during his intervention term, first as an intern, then as a consultant after completing his master’s degree, before moving into an analyst role.
Beyond his technical expertise, Samuel is known for his human and curious nature. Passionate about board games and travel, he enjoys building authentic connections, spending time with friends, and cherishing meaningful moments with his family.
Ninon Daltin
Manager, Chief Compliance Officer and Operations
Ninon is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from HEC Montreal and joined 1642 Capital Inc. in 2016 and has over 28 years of experience in the financial services industry. Having worked in various institutions, she has held key roles in operations, fund accounting, and regulatory compliance. As Chief Compliance Officer of 1642 Capital Inc., Ninon is an advocate of integrity and an avid road biker.
Honseenta Anthony
Compliance Analyst
Holding a Licentiate in Law (LL.L) and Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Ottawa, Honseenta joined the compliance department of 1642 Capital Inc. in June, 2022 having approximately 10 years of experience within the financial industry in a variety of roles. She is specialized in KYC, due diligence and regulatory standards. Honseenta is an avid reader and knowledge seeker.

Bill Healy
Board Member and member of the Investment Committee
Bill Healy is an investment professional, corporate director, and strategic advisor. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of 1642 Capital, as well as an Investment Committee member for family offices, providing oversight on investment policy design, portfolio construction, asset allocation, and manager selection.
With over 35 years of experience in investment counseling and portfolio management, he has invested extensively in both public and private markets.
Throughout his career, Bill has held several senior roles, including serving as Senior Consultant at Prime Quadrant and as Chief Investment Officer and Chief Experience Officer at Portfolio HiWay. He also co-founded Patrimonica Asset Management Inc., the investment arm of a multi-family office based in Montreal, where he served as President and Chief Investment Officer. Previously, he was Vice President and Portfolio Manager at TAL Private Management Inc. and McLean Budden Ltd., managing portfolios for wealthy families, family offices, foundations, endowments, and corporate pension plans.
Bill holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Concordia University and a Master of Science in Financial Economics from the University of London. He is a CFA charterholder and has been actively involved with the Kenneth Woods Portfolio Management Program at Concordia’s John Molson School of Business since its inception in 2000.
Sam Reda
Member of the Investment Committee
Mr. Sam Reda, CFA, is a member of multiple boards and investment committees, and acts as a strategic advisor to several organizations.
He sits on various boards, including both private companies and not-for-profit organizations, and serves on several investment committees representing both institutional investors and family offices. Notably, he is the Chair of the Investment Committee for the Concordia University Employee Pension Plan.
With over 40 years of experience in investment management, Mr. Reda has held senior leadership positions at prominent money managers, including first vice-president and partner at TAL Global Asset Management, President and Chief Operating Officer at Natcan Investment Management, Executive Vice President at Fiera Capital, and Chairman of the Board at Triasima Portfolio Management. He is the President of Maralex Capital Inc., a firm he founded in 2011 that provides strategic advisory services, and also the Co-founder of Alpha CCO.
Mr. Reda holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University and is a CFA charterholder. He has also completed the Directors Education Program, offered jointly by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) and the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
Jean-Luc Gravel
Member of the Investment Committee
A CFA charter holder and Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute, Mr. Gravel held several positions at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec: Senior Vice-President, Canadian Equities, until 2009, and then Executive Vice-President, Equity Markets, within the institution's investment management group until 2018. Mr. Gravel was also a member of the Executive Committee and sat on the Investment-Risk Committee before serving as Strategic Advisor to the President.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Santé Québec. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Montréal Exchange from 1995 to 1998, and of the International Financial Centre of Montréal (IFC Montréal) from 2010 to 2016. He has served on the Boards of Directors of Énergir and First Eagle Holdings.
Mr. Gravel holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Ottawa and a B.Sc. from the University of Sherbrooke.
